CDP Lecture Series: Legal Issues for Photographers

Our First Lecture in a Series to Be Offered this Fall and Winter!

The Chicagoland Digital Photograph (CDP) Meetup Group is excited and proud to announce this new lecture series. Each session will be led by an industry professional who is capable of answering the many questions you may have.

In this first lecture, Chicago IP (intellectual property) attorney Daliah Saper will discuss various legal issues that face us as photographers in today's world.

Topics will include:

• How does copyright work?
• Do I need to register my images with the Copyright Office?
• When, and why, do I need a model release?
• What is the Illinois Right to Publicity Act (IRPA) and does it affect me?
• What are my legal rights for taking photographs in public?
• What are the differences between artistic, editorial, and commercial use?
• And more.

This evening lecture is held at the law offices of Saper Law. Refreshments will be served.
